A perfect weekend for SCCA racing, at an extraordinary racing facility. This 2 1/2 mile long track has hosted Indy Cars, AMLS series races, and IRL. There were over 130 cars registered for the weekend. Every type of road race car was here. Ron brought the Heil Heating and Cooling Product Monte Carlo to race in his group of 35 cars. Both Saturday and Sunday had great results with Ron qualifying 2nd overall in the group and finishing the race 2nd overall in his group. A GT1 car, out of Kentucky finished first. Out of Ron's class of cars,  he finished 1st across the board.  This was a very successful event for the Weyer Racing Team.

The Historic Milwaukee Mile
West Allis, WI

Yes, there still is racing at "The Mile".  This event was put together by the Milwaukee Region SCCA Club. Sixty eight Drivers and cars were at the gate Saturday morning to race. Ron's group was the first on the track for qualifying where he placed 3rd overall.  Saturday's race also finished with the #07  Pioneer Bowl sponsored car in 3rd place. Sunday was a different story. A few chassis and tire changes put Ron in first place overall in qualifying. At the drop of the green for the race;  the top three exchanged the lead many times. Ron's times steadily improved to the point were he set a one lap 'Track Record' in his SPO car division. The checkered dropped and Ron took first place overall. This great finished clinched the  TRO Manufacturing Series Championship for Ron in the SPO class of cars in SCCA for 2009.

A Multi-District Lions Club Great race was held this Wednesday night. Dale brought the #07 red Heil Heating and Cooling Products MidAmerican Stock Car to this fun little track. This was the fourth of the four races scheduled for the Lions Club members. It was critical for Dale to finish good, since he was leading the piont standings by only four points. So the night went off with a 2nd place finish in the Trophy Dash.  A win in the heat race. And a third place finish in the feature. This accumulated

more than enough points for Dale to earn the Lions Great Race 2009 Sportsman Series Championship for 2009.

Columbus 151 Speedway
Columbus,  WI

A sunday afternoon program which had a small turnout of cars. This did not hamper the close racing. In Dale's Mid-Am/ LLM class of cars;  the entire field qualified within  0.30 seconds. The day went off without any problems, with Dale winning the main event.  This was Dale's only feature win for 2009. But this one counted, since it pushed Dale into the points lead for  Lions Club Sportsman class of cars.

A warm Wednesday evening race program. This was the first Lions Club program of 2009. A limited number of cars came to compete; but that did not slow the fast action. This S.E. Wisc. track is known as the action track. Dale drove the #07 MidAm race car here. Many new ideas were built into the car over the winter, and it was time to sort them out. The Pioneer Bowl Sport Center sponsored #07 timed in second fast and placed 2nd in the Fast Dash. The feature race ran green to checker, with Dale finishing again in the second postion.

Sunday the 31th,  was a perfect day for racing. Ron qualified the #07 Monte Carlo 1st in his Class and turned his fastest lap ever at Road America. That four mile lap timed in at 2 min. and 25 seconds. The race went off great with Ron finishing 1st in his Class and 5th overall. There were 22 cars registered for Sunday in this group; which was made up of 4 different classes.

Saturday the 30th,  the morning qualifying was in light rain. For 2009 our team is using rain tires and it paid off. Ron qualified 1st in his Class and 1st in his group overall. This great qualifying effort put Ron and the #07 on the Pole for the race. Ron took off at the green to a huge lead. It took 3 laps for the top GT1 cars to catch up. Even still Ron had a very good finish of 4th overall in the group and 1st in his Class of cars.

This Sunday was a rainy day with thunder and lightning. Rain all day held the car count way down. Our Heil Heating and Cooling Equipment Team was there to raceand race we did. Ron qualified the car 1st in his Class and third overall. Even heaver rain came at feature time, but that does not stop SCCA races. The green flag dropped and Ron came around in the lead. The race was still hotly contested, with a couple lead changes and bumper to bumper racing the full 20 laps. Ron crossed the finish line 1st overall. Good way to start the season, with a win.
